We are performing maintenance on our SIP infrastructure to improve monitoring and stability. This will result in ~1min downtime.

Who is affected: Calls using Vapi numbers, SIP (sip.vapi.ai), or a BYO SIP trunk will be unable to connect during the maintenance.
Who is not affected: Calls using a native Twilio, Telnyx, or Vonage number connected directly, web callers, or users in the Vapi EU or AUS regions.

When: September 20, 2026, 10:00pm to 10:10pm PT

What to expect: SIP calls will fail to connect for about 1 minute at 10:00pm PT and return the standard error response. We will then validate for the rest of the window while calls connect normally.

Action needed: If one minute of failed calls is a concern, route through an alternate transport such as Twilio for the window.

We will update this page when calls are connecting again and when the work is complete.
